Teresa Johnson is a writer and spoken word performer in Austin, Texas. She has competed in the Finals and Group Piece Finals at the National Poetry Slam three times. Her writing has been featured in theatrical performances, online newspapers, and chapbooks. Her first book with 310 Brown Street, “Mnemosyne,” is a collection of poems and haiku from her first four years of poetry competition. Her work spans a variety of themes: women’s rights, religion, politics, and the importance of unapologetically speaking for yourself.
